Efficiency is basically 70% how well you held focus and 30% how well you cleared distractions. Staying focused is important, but if you ignore those red boxes too long, the system crashes anyway.

So the brain in the sim keeps drifting away even though you can clearly see it. That's Executive Dysfunction in a nutshell.

People with ADHD can see the target just fine. The problem is your brain won't actually lock onto it. It's not about willpower or effort, it's about the regulation system literally not working right.

When you leave the brain to click those red boxes, your efficiency tanks. That's Switching Costs. Normal brains switch between tasks pretty easily. ADHD brains? It takes way more energy to refocus after switching.

REALITY: It's a regulation disorder. A lot of people have the "Inattentive" type meaning internal chaos, time blindness, and brain fog instead of physical hyperactivity.

REALITY: Everyone gets distracted sometimes. ADHD is when it happens so often and so severely that it actually messes up your life, job, and health. There's a difference.

Working memory is basically broken, so you need external systems to compensate:

:: VISUAL_TIMERS: Abstract time doesn't work. You need to see it, like that stress bar in the sim.
:: GAMIFICATION: Turn boring stuff into a game to trick your brain into releasing dopamine so you can actually start the task.
